EYE CARE PROGRAM

LACIT organizes outreach camps to eliminate blindness. Outreach camps include Community-Based Comprehensive Programs, School Children Screening, and Special Surveys.

COMPREHENSIVE EYE CAMPS

5 eye camps were organized last year. 570 persons participated in screening and 18 of them underwent surgery with successful outcomes.

EYE SCREENING CAMPS FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN

Free eye examination of school children is carried out. Last year, 380 children were examined. 6 children received a pair glasses, free of cost.

DENTAL CARE PROGRAM

In the past 5 years, 5 such programs have been organized with a total of 241 community members benefiting from the same. 27 beneficiaries were referred to hospitals for further support.

HIV AID AWARENESS & COMMITTEE

LACIT organizes awareness meetings from time to time at different places. During these meetings, staff & volunteers of LACIT distribute leaflets, posters, banners in order to sensitize people under stressful conditions with special focus on controlling HIV-AIDS. Subcommittee meetings also take place under the chairmanship of the Local Corporator. Other participants like women SHG, Adolescents girls, HIV Activists also participate.
